Big Blue Inline Ozone Generators fulfill two purposes:
- Eliminates odor in your Hydroponic indoor gardening area created by plants, reservoirs, mold and nutrient solution with UV and ozone.
- Sterilizes the grow room at the end of the plant cycle by killing spider mites, pests, and eliminating powdery mildew. The ozone gas gets into every crack and crevice, out-killing every chemical-based product.
The size of your UV Ozonator for your grow room should be based on the number of plants being grown and the size of your "mixing chamber", not the square footage of your indoor growing area. It's all about "contact time", how long the UV and ozone have to destroy the odor molecules. If you are exhasting into an attic or have 20 - 25 feet of ductwork, those are great sized mixing chambers and the inline ozone generator will have sufficient time to take care of all the plant odor you want. Big Blue Ozonators are very lightweight, making installation much easier than inline carbon filters, which can weigh over 100 pounds and need replacing every 12 months.
The control settings allow you to burn bulbs individually. Early in the grow cycle, when odor levels are at their lowest, only one bulb may be required. As your plants mature and the odor increases, the Big Blue has built-in switches that allow you to turn on bulbs as required. These controls will save on bulb usage, which will save the life of your bulbs. Each bulb consumes about 5 watts.
The only part on your Big Blue Ozonator that will need replacing is the UV-C germicidal bulb. With continual use, the bulb will last 14-18 months. Since the Big Blue is keyed to the exhaust system, therefore does not run constantly, the bulbs generally will last 2 years. To ensure adequate odor protection, it is recommended to replace bulbs every 18 months. Quite the back and dollar savings from replacing inline carbon filters yearly.
Heavy duty Big Blue ozonators feature a highly polished stainless steel housing (amplifying ozone output) and multiple UV-C germicidal lamps. Each is individually controlled for unrestricted removal of heat associated with multiple high wattage grow lights, allowing fully adjustable ozone output. This fail-safe feature means you are never without odor control.
Great for larger spaces and faster results in smaller spaces. These ozonators are not affected by high humidity levels and fit conveniently into your duct system with hanging eyelet supports and prepunctured mounting holes.
