Hydroponics Rockwool, Hydroton Grow Mediums & More
Natures Hydroponics sells Hydroponic rockwool, hydroton and grow mediums for your indoor Hydroponic systems. In a traditional garden, plant roots are in the soil. The roots support the plant and search for food and water. In Hydroponic systems, either water or grow mediums like Rockwool, are used in place of soil. Hydroponics grow mediums aerate and support the root system of the plant, and channel the water and nutrients. Rockwool, Sphagnum Moss, and Hydroton (clay rocks) are the most popular Hydroponics Grow Mediums with our customers. Rockwool works especially well with propagation and plant cloning. We also sell Hydroponic Nutrients, and 2 & 3-Part Advanced Nutrients, which commercial growers prefer. Purchase the Hydroponics Growing Medium that will best suit your Hydroponics system now! Rockwool is produced from volcanic rock and limestone, which are melted at temperatures of 2500 degrees and higher. The molten solution is poured over a spinning cylinder then pressed into identical rockwool sheets, rockwool blocks or rockwool cubes. Rockwool holds 10 to 14 times as much water as soil and, rockwool retains 20% air. This combination makes rockwool highly usable as Hydroponics grow medium for propagation and plant cloning. Rockwool does have a pH of 7.8 and can raise the pH of your Hydroponics nutrient solution, so be sure to use a pH meter on a regular basis when you use our Rockwool Grow Mediums. |

Hydroton Hydroponics Grow Mediums Hydroton is a light, expanded clay aggregate (clay rocks). Fast draining Hydroton growing mediums works well in a Hydroponics ebb and flow water system and, Hydroton allows plenty of oxygen to penetrate the plant's root system. Hydroton clay rocks are very stable and rarely effect the pH of the Hydroponic nutrients solution. Always check the pH level on a regular basis with your pH Meter to be on the safe side. |

Sphagnum Moss is a highly absorbent moss used as a Hydroponic growing medium or as a sphagnum moss supplement to soil, since soil alone in Container Gardening does not work well due to its lack of aeration, drainage and water retention characteristics. Sphagnum Moss is light in weight, absorbs 10 to 20 times its weight and is a very desirable form of Organic matter to use in Hydroponics growing mediums. Purchase your Sphagnum Moss today! |

Jiffy peat moss pellets are compressed peat moss that amazingly expand when water is added and work great for starting seeds in soil. In Hydroponics, Jiffy Pellets will lower the pH in your nutrient solution, but at the same time can counteract high alkaline water, so use with care on Hydroponics plants. |
